FROM SUNNY BARBADOS TO THE UK

Born and raised in beautiful Barbados, I moved to the UK in my 20s to study, never imagining the adventure that awaited me. Before I left, God gave me a word for my journey—Joshua 1:9:

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

At the time, I thought this verse was just for the transition to a new country. But as life unfolded, I realised it was a promise I would hold onto through every season.

I met my amazing husband, Chidi, in church, and he proposed on my favourite beach in Barbados while we were visiting my parents. We tied the knot in January 2013, and since then, our lives have been an incredible mix of love, faith, and the beautiful chaos of raising four lively children—two boys and two girls.

The one who promised me an adventure—and has delivered!

Chidi is a devoted husband and father with a heart for storytelling. He’s the author of two delightful children's books, and his love, faith and unwavering support have been the foundation of our family, especially through our toughest seasons.

LIFE WITH OUR FOUR WORLD-CHANGERS

Our home is full of energy, laughter and lessons in patience and grace.

Each of our kids brings something special to our family, keeping us on our toes and reminding us daily of God’s goodness. Parenting isn’t always easy, but it is always worth it.

FACING UNEXPECTED CHALLENGES

When our second son was just four months old, he began having seizures.

By the time I was pregnant with our third child, we learned he had Dravet Syndrome—a rare, lifelong form of epilepsy—along with autism and ADHD. That diagnosis changed everything. I had to leave my job to become his full-time caregiver, and life as I knew it felt like it had come to a halt.

I won’t sugarcoat it—I wrestled with my faith. How could I speak about God’s power when my own child wasn't being healed… yet? It was a season of deep struggle, but it was also a turning point.

HOLDING ONTO GOD'S PROMISES

In the midst of uncertainty, I remembered Joshua 1:9.

It wasn’t just a verse for my move to the UK—it was for every challenge I would ever face. God was with me then, and He was with me now. That truth changed everything.

I realised that while I didn’t have all the answers, God did. He wasn’t absent—He was right there, walking with us, strengthening us, and shaping our story for His glory. With time, I stopped seeing our challenges as roadblocks and started viewing them as opportunities to grow, trust, and impact others.

These days, I wear many hats—wife, mum, author, business owner and faith-builder.

I’ve always admired the Proverbs 31 woman, and while I’m still a work in progress, I’m committed to living with purpose, wisdom and grace.

I’m passionate about equipping everyone—

women, men, couples, parents, and children—with biblical wisdom and practical tools to cultivate thriving, Christ-centred homes. Whether you’re raising faith-filled children, strengthening your marriage, or deepening your relationship with God, I want to walk this journey with you.
